Raw Banana Sweet And Sour Curry / Aratikaya Pulusu Bellam Kura

Ingredients :

  • 1 no Aratikaya / Raw Banana 
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped Lengthwise
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 sp Tamarind Pulp
  • 2 sp grated Jaggery
  • Salt to taste

For Popu :

  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli Crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Method :

  • Wash, peel aratikaya and cut into small pieces.
  • Cook with salt and turmeric powder & strain them.
  • Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry for 2 mins.
  • When done add curry leaves, green chillies & fry for 30 sec.
  • Next add tamarind pulp, little salt, jaggery and cook until the raw smell goes.
  • Add cooked aratikaya mukkalu, red chilli powder and stir well.
  • Cook for additional 3 to 4 minutes on low flame & remove from flame.
  • Aratikaya pulusu bellam koora is ready to serve, serve hot with white rice.
