Mango (Totapuri) Sambar
Ingredients :
- 1 Mango
- 1 cup Toor dal
- Tamarind lemon size
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 sp Red chilli powder
- 2 Green chillies
- 1 sp Sambar powder
- 1 pinch Inguva
- Salt
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin seeds
- 1 Red chilli crocked
- Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil
Preparation :
- Clean and soak tamarind in water and keep it aside.
- Wash mango and cut into big pieces.
- Pressure cook toor dal up to 3 whistles, turn of the heat.
- When it cool remove the lid & mash it.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard, cumin seeds & red chili pieces.
- It gets fry add curry leaves, green chillies & mango pieces.
- Next add two cups of tamarind water and salt.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cook for 5 mins on medium flame.
- Add mashed dal and sambar powder, inguva and stir well.
- Cook for 8 mins on low flame turn of heat.
- Transfer in to a serving bowl. Eat with steemed white rice & ghee.
