Mango Garlic Chutney / Mamidikaya Vellulli Pachadi
Ingredients :
- 1 small Mango / Pachi Mamidikaya
- 6 Green Chillies cut into middle
- 4 or 5 Garlic Cloves
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1/4 sp Methi Seeds
- Salt to taste
- 2 sp Oil
For Popu :
- 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Urad Dal
Preparation :
- Wash mango and peel the skin and cut into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan add urad dal, mustard, methi seeds and fry.
- Add chopped green chillies, garlic cloves & stir.
- Stir until the green chillies are soft, then remove from pan.
- Grind fried green chillies mix, salt, turmeric powder into a paste.
- Add chopped mango pieces and grind slightly.
- Heat 1 sp oil in a small frying pan add popu and fry.
- When they splutter add it to ground chutney and mix well.
- Now mango vellulli pachadi is ready to serve.
- This chutney is served along with ghee and hot rice.
