Rice Rava Iidly / Biyyam Rava Idly
Ingredients :
- 1 cup Urad Dal
- 2 cups Rice Rava / Biyyam Nooka
- Salt to taste
- 1 pinch Cooking Soda (optional )
Preparation :
- Wash soak urad dal in water for 2 or 3 hours and drain.
- Grind the soaked urad dal to a fine paste in a blender & transfer it to a bowl.
- Add rice rava to ground urad dal paste and combine well.
- Cover and keep aside to ferment over night.
- Once the batter is fermented add salt, cooking soda & mix well.
- Add enough water to the fermented batter until you have a pouring consistency.
- Grease the idly plates with little ghee / oil and fill with the batter.
- Place the idly plates in the idly cooker and cook for 10 to 15 mins.
- Once done turn off the heat & leave it for 2 to 3 mins & remove them.
- Now biyyapa rava idly is ready to serve, serve hot with chutney, sambar.
