Radish Onion Moong Dal Curry / Mullangi Ullipaya Pesara Curry
Ingredients :
- 2 nos Mullangi / Radish
- 2 sp Moong Dal
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 2 or 3 Garlic Cloves crushed
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil
Preparation :
- Wash, peel radish and cut into small pieces, wash and soak moong dal for 10 mins.
- Cook radish pieces on stove top along with salt and turmeric powder.
- Next add moong dal and cook, when it is 3/4 done, remove from fire and strain.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry for 2 mins.
- Add crushed garlic, curry leaves, green chillies, onions and stir.
- Fry it till the onions are soft then add cooked radish mixture and stir.
- Add red chilli powder and stir well, fry for couple of mins then transfer into a serving bowl.
- Now mullangi ullipaya pesara pappu kura is ready to serve, serve hot with rice.
