Toor Dal Onion Chutney / Ullipaya Kandi Pachadi
Ingredients :
- 1 small cup Toor Dal
- 1/2 small lime size Tamarind
- 1 Onion roughly chopped
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 4 Red Chilles
- 1 sp Ghee
- Salt to taste
Preparation :
- Heat ghee in a pan add toor dal, red chillies & fry on low flame.
- Saute them until golden brown in color, remove from the pan and allow it to cool.
- Grind fried toor dal mixture along with cumin seeds, tamarind, salt by adding enough water into a coarse paste.
- Now add chopped onion and grind slightly then transfer into a serving bowl.
- Ullipaya kandi pachadi is ready to serve, serve with hot rice.
