Urad Dal Dumplings / Small Minapa Bonda

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Urad Dal
  • few Fresh Coconut Pieces
  • 1/4 sp crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Preparation :

  • Wash and soak urad dal for 2 hours & grind into a fine paste adding as little water.
  • In a mixing bowl combine urad dal batter, coconut pieces, salt, pepper powder and mix.
  • Add chopped curry leaves, chopped green chillies & mix thoroughly, now the batter is ready.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, take a small lemon sized batter & drop into hot oil.
  • Fry them until golden brown in color, remove from the pan & drain them on a paper towel.
  • Now minapa bondalu are ready to serve, serve hot with chutney.
