Tomato Pulihora
Ingredients :
- 1cup Cooked Rice
- 2 no Tomatoes
- 2 inches Tamarind Flake
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 sp grated Jaggery
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1 sp Chana Dal
- 1 sp Urad Dal
- 2 Red Chillies crocked
- fistful Peanuts
- 1 pinch Inguva
- Curry Leaves
- 4 sp Oil
Preparation :
- Wash and cut tomatoes into small pieces.
- Grind tomatoes along with soaked tamarind to a thick juice.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry.
- Once done add green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
- Next add ground tomato juice, turmeric, red chilli powder and jaggery.
- Cook for about 5-7 mins till the tomato juice becomes a thick paste.
- Then add cooked rice and mix well, let it cook for 30 sec.
- Now tomato pulihora is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
